SAS Orders Two SAAB 2000 Aircraft
SAS Commuter has ordered two new Saab 2000 Aircraft from SAAB. Deliveries
are set to begin by early 1998, based at Stockholm's Arlanda airport.
SAS Commuter had put the first of the initial order of four Saab 2000 high
speed turboprops earlier this year and had an option for two more. This
order brings the Scandinavian airline's total to six.
According to a company statement, the aircraft have replaced
McDonnell-Douglas MD80 and Fokker F-28 jets
on domestic and international routes.
