Farnborough To Stay At -- FarnboroughFarnborough, September 3 -- Well, it's official. Britain's Deputy Prime Minister Michael Heseltine formally pronounced the government's support to keeping the air show at Farnborough. In opening ceremonies yesterday, Heseltine remarked that the aerospace industry and Farnborough were synonymous. "For the SBAC to hold the exhibition anywhere else would be unthinkable." After his pronouncement, there was heard a collective sigh of relief from the assembled show exhibitors and organizers. The Farnborough venue had seemed somewhat in jeopardy when the British government announced plans to sell the airfield earlier this year.
