Farnborough Security Is Tight

Farnborough, September 5 -- Police from a number of ministries are very much in evidence at the Air Show after the U.S. action against Iraq over the last several days. In some cases, security guards were checking the bags of journalists at the chalets of some of the large aerospace firms.

The caution is prudent considering the international stage of Farnborough. Police stated that there are no increased forces on site, but explosive-sniffing dogs were seen at the show today.

Certainly, this year's show attendees feel a bit more secure with so many uniforms in evidence.
