Farnborough, September 3 -- International Lease Finance Corporation President and CEO Steve Hazy stands in front of a model of the V2500 jet engine after signing an agreement with International Aero Engines for engines for seven aircraft. The ILFC contract was inked at the Farnborough show by IAE President Barry Eccleston and Hazy.

The new engines for ILFC will power A319, A320 and A321 aircraft taking its V2500 fleet to 86 including firm and optioned aircraft.

The other V2500s are destined for EgyptAir, Heliopolis Airlines of Cairo and Kibris Turk Have Yollari in Instanbul. EgyptAir will power four A321 with the IAE engines. Heliopolis and Kibris engines are for MD-90s.

The order comes one week after United Airlines ordered $260 million worth of V2500s for its A319 order.
