Bombardier Sells Three CRJs

Farnborough, September 3 -- Bob Brown, president of Bombardier Aerospace Group announced the sale of three additional Canadair Regional Jets to Brit air of France. The order value is approximately $60 million.

The French airline will add the new jetliners to its existing fleet of six Canadairs. The first of Brit air's three new aircraft will be delivered in November of this year.

"Our six Canadair Jet aircraft currently in service are employed in two distinct roles," said Brit air president Xavier Leclercq at the order signing. "Five of our Canadair Jets are operated on routes supporting our partner Groupe Air France while one is committed to Brit air routes. We plan to use our latest Canadair Jet acquisitions to expand regional jet use within Brit air on both domestic as well as intra-European routes."
