These images were taken at the final assembly shop
of Khrunichev center in Moscow. The FGB (Functional Cargo Block)
and SM (Service Module) to the International Space Station.
This image shows installation
of an American unit allowing a precise docking with the US Orbiter.
The
SM being under test for leaking. (Helium gas is pumped inside of the module
and if there is a leak, the gas goes out and the jet is clearly seen).
The SM is to shipped from Khrunichev to Energia rocketry-space corporation
in the first week of September.
